to lady wisdom

The only currently found fragment of Zahur’s poem in tribute Lady Wisdom.

Sah’ Sah’ come and take your place on this gilded throne
Come and stand above us, your loving mortal race
We shall bow and grovel, yours we are to own
Forever in your grasp, forever yours alone.
Grant us your undying wisdom, your eternal KNOW
In return, oh gracious lady, this kingdom we bestow
This kingdom now we give thee ….

A note on the author:

Some sources say he was a Sahraian raider, others say he was a captive of the raiders. Either way, Zahur traveled across the deserts of Sahra’ writing poems about his life, people he met, the gods, and many many other things. He is particularly favored for his poems on the deities. Unfortunately, in modern times only a handful of the hundreds of poems Zahur wrote still exist, and even then some of the known ones are fragments of the originals.

(everything in this post is fictional. just a concept idea i had for my desert world of Sahra’ and how to add lore to it)
